Sounds like those experts carping should change their focus.

Instead of suggesting that the cure for unsafe home charging is out-of-home public charging, they should concentrate on explaining why the suggested arrangements for home charging are unsafe and on what the better/best arrangements are.

Considering there’s a £500 grant towards installing a dedicated home charging station (£1000 in Scotland) I can only think that the folks daisy-chaining extension leads to charge their cars also do the same to mow their lawns and god knows what else. I suggest a government backed ‘Nominated Grownup’ Scheme that provides these people with a proper ‘Grown Up’ to support them in making life decisions. This could be as serious as ‘Is this ladder safe’ or ‘should I go poo poo now or later’.
