DIYBMS v4

Thanks for the reassurance! I stumbled upon that article already, good to know you support it!

I know it’s been asked in the past, but I though I’d just ask again to see if there is any traction on implementing an option for a shunt to be integrated into DIYBMS.

Adding a shunt not only gives visibility to the charge and discharge currents but also the added protection of over current charge and discharge protection, by monitoring this and allowing a relay to disconnect the bank from the load.

I’m finally able to test with bypass mode. In the image you can see 4 cells are red but when I look at the modules only the last 3 (the ones showing temperature of 45 degrees or so) have the red flashing light. Does that mean that one is not working correctly?

Looking at the circuit diagram (I only know basic electronics) my guess would be that the pin from the ATTINY to the DUMP_LOAD_ENABLE probably is not properly connected? Would that be a good guess?

This is also out of stock Please @stuart suggest any other

I was right  the pin on the ATTINY was not soldered. Fixed it now and the bypass now works on that module.

Hi, search in this post. I read it all and I can remember that in some place people speak about thermistors.

Already searched the suggested one is also out of stock

Any good smd thermistor 47k will be ok, you can always adjust their “temperature BCoef” in settings (in controller’s created web page), only check the datasheet to ensure that it is the same shape/size, so you could solder in the diyBMS boards

Arie,

Actually i was interested in pre-assembled boards,
But so far as i hva read here there still is some
manual soldering to do?

Going out of my mind here but has anyone got a link to the exact wemos d1 required? Even Amazon is giving me 100 pages. From 3 for €12.00 to €11.00 each.

Thanks in advance.

There are so many bad rip offs about I only buy mine direct from China HOME — WEMOS documentation

Look at this link

The danger in not getting them from the official Lolin shop is that they are not genuine WEMOS D1s. I suggest the one on that link is not genuine.

Use https://lolin.aliexpress.com/store/1331105

@borpin, I get the batteries from a friend in recycling. I got the holders from Ali-Express. Each cell has a positive and negative fuse that blows at about 1.5 amps to a 10mm2 bus bar. The bus bars have lugs at the end so that they can be bolted together to make a full pack.

Its “WEMOS D1 Mini Pro 16M Bytes + ESP8266/D1 Mini Pro Series WiFi Wireless Antenna”

Although at the moment any D1 Mini will work.

Useful friend to know…

Could you do some photos and a bit more detail please? Perhaps start a new thread?

Thermistor part is

is showing 970 in stock

If I were to connect more than one module to a cell would I be able to bleed of 2x as much power or would they interfere with each other?

Thanks folks. Ordered from Aliexpress. Onward
