Newby here. Setting up some monitoring using econcms/Heatpump APP, on my Arotherm+_5kW and am looking at some heatpumpmonitor.org public monitor pages.
Example of Glyn Hudson’s install in Beddgelert attached. I am presuming the sudden dips in power every 90 mins or so are defrost cycles. Eg before 21:00 on attached image - no defost, but defrosting every 1.5 hours or so after when outside temperature drops to 0C.
Yes, you are correct. If you click on Show Detail, and select the Show defrosts and other heat lost checkbox, the graph will show the negative effect of the defrost. The app also shows the sum of energy used for defrosting on that detail line.
