I have a feed which increases during the day (yield in kWh from an ASHP). I’d like to graph this as a single daily bar showing the maximum value.
Should I post process this to find a daily max? If so how?
Or, should I have a separate feed that runs at 11:59pm and just takes the current (max) value?

Hello @modeller yes this kind of feed can be handled by emoncms, see the guide, you just need to enable delta mode in the graph. Here’s an example with mine:
1. Cumulative kWh graph, same as yours:
2. Then select type: Daily, and then put a tick in Delta and Fill to give the following result:

I think I have a similar but slightly different question.
I’m logging daily kWh values from my MyEnergi Eddi (via the API) because the Eddi splits the values between “Green” kWh (ie diverted from Solar) and total kWh.
My problem is that this value resets to zero each day - so I don’t have a cumulative kWh graph over several days, just a cumulative over a single day. Therefore, over a week, I get a graph something like this:
What I am after is a daily Max kWh value to display in a graph like the second one you show.
Is that possible?

I think you need to log your values using KWH accumulator, thats what i do currently with my wemo insights. They also start reading from 0 KWH every day and the KWH accumulator (for creating the feed) makes it a cumulative feed. After that you can use the delta thing on the graphs

no problem, be aware though you need 2 days worth of data before the delta thing can display data as it shows the difference between the 2 days (which is your used kwh/d for the previous day)
