Interesting article, thanks for sharing @Robert.Wall. I’ve certainly noticed when we change servers for emoncms.org that a portion of users keep posting to the old IP address, I’ve often had to set up redirects for quite some time. There’s a similar issue with users who decide to delete their emoncms.org accounts but for whatever reason are not able to disable posting data to the emoncms.org server. Perhaps posting hardware need a mechanism to stop posting automatically after an extended period of not receiving valid replies from the target server, it’s probably something we should consider adding to emonhub etc
