Does anyone have any experience of remote monitoring by British Gas (Vaillant arotherm+) ?

Or failing that, experience with remote monitoring by other installers. Good,bad,useless etc.

Any downsides - like being locked into BG. I might try Havenwise at some stage and hopefully would not have any issues with BG overriding Havenwise optimisation.

BG will install a standard Vaillant Arotherm+ with the Internet gateway so you’ll have the standard Vaillant app monitoring and control. This is not locked into BG.

Also you can install your own independent monitoring with a heat meter for accurate monitoring we’ve got several BG installs on

Thanks Glyn. BG weren’t very forthright - several layers of intermediaries. Just checking they didn’t want me to use their app. I had a bad experience with BG apps before.

I wasn’t planning on an openenenergy meter, but it looks like a really great product. Best wishes,
