Hi,
To select an optimal heat pump, you need to know the cost of operating a
heat pump per year.
With the help of this tool you can determine the cost of electrical power consumed by the heat pump per year and compare it with other sources of heat, for example:
gas boiler, electric boiler or solid fuel boiler.
The feature of this calculation is that it uses a database of outdoor air temperatures from previous years (10–15 years) for specific cities. The calculation is performed using the temperature of each day from this database, and then the average values for the year are determined. This way, the calculation predicts the heat pump’s consumption in future years as accurately as possible.
In this thread, let’s discuss this application. Feel free to ask questions about its calculation methodology or suggest improvements.
I am the developer of the application.
The application is free and available on our website via the link: Heat Pump
To access the application, you will need to register on the website. This is necessary so that you can save your calculations to your account on the site.
If you do not wish to register and have access to past calculations, you can use the application on the partner website EHPA: Heat Pump – European Heat Pump Association
