I’ve just got a second-hand Nissan e-NV200 (24kwh) and realised that the CARWINGS system has been discontinued or severely limited in many regions by NISSAN. So I’ve got some ideas to potentially solve this problem:
I understand @glyn.hudson built an e-NV200 camper van, so he may have an opinion. You may want to look at Open Vehicle Monitoring System so you’re not dependent on telematics support from Nissan.
OVMS works very well on Android, it actually has better support on android than iOS. I use it extensively with my van. Carwings was always terrible and never worked properly, OVMS gives so much more data and is fast to load.
OVMS also integrates well with Home Assistant and MQTT:
This in particular restored original CARWINGS functions and even more than nissan ever provided, in the navigation unit. You also get heating, status and charging commands like before. Definitely worth checking out, since it uses already equipped hardware in the car, only thing you need to buy is a new SIM card
