Adding room temp with emonTH using JeeLink & emonHP

So,

Got a emonTH to add to my heatpump monitoring, plugged in the usb adapter and put some batteries in the emonTH (flashing green light) added it in the local emonhp setup as per below

What else do I need to do to get it to pick up the room temp ?

Hi Andy,

The to be able to read data from the jeelink some extrra config was needed in emonhub.conf as documented on the [Jeelink shop page](https://shop.openenergymonitor.com/jeelink-rfm69cw-to-usb-transceiver-433mhz/:

[[jeelink]]
Type = EmonHubOEMInterfacer
    [[[init_settings]]]
        com_port = /dev/ttyUSB0
        com_baud = 38400
    [[[runtimesettings]]]
        pubchannels = ToEmonCMS,
        subchannels = ToRFM12,
        nodename = RF

I’ve added thisw config for you, logged the emonTH Inputs to Feeds and added the indoor temp feed to your MyHeatPump app dashboard. You should now see indoor temp appearing.

I notice the emonTH is reporting a very low 2.1V as the battery voltage. Fresh batteries should be around 3V. But even with this low voltage, is should still last around 3-4 months. With fresh batteries, you can expect 2yrs.

I’d completely forgot about that note on the shop page (obviously). Thanks for sorting that out.

The batteries are “pre-charged” rechargeable ones. Have this issue in work with the Wiser TRV’s reporting as being low battery after about a week of having rechargeable ones fitted. Still last for the heating season though. I’ll keep an eye on it.

Ah right, rechargeable have a lower voltage. It should still last a decent amount of time
