First thing to note is that the heatgeek install is heating only. He generates his hot water via alternative means.
Most 5kW heatpump only output to around 5kW, but the Arotherm is a scary beast in that you can get over 7kW heat out in certain conditions.
When outputting 7kW, you’re unlikely to get any better than 2.5 to 3.0 COP.
So 7kW / 2.5 COP = 2.8kW electric input. You can do other sums based on the COP / OUTPUT charts in the first post.
The 5kW model is only needs a 16A connection and fuse, so 3.6kW max draw.
Highest i’ve seen during a hot water run (much higher demand than heating) is 3kW electric usage.
