it pretty easy just plug the emontx shield into the wemos R3 follow the above mention and you are done, no soldering no extra wires just plug and play-- but here a picture it has two extra wires, that you can ignore completely , that are connected to pin of the built in esp passing info directly to the uno board so I can adjust setting on the fly example of that is found here
