Hi
Is there a German user active here who can flash the ATTINY-1614 for me?
I’ve tried it with the modified Arduino Nano and with PlatformIO also in Linux but I can’t manage to program the chip.
After a few hours I gave up.
What issue are you running into?
I used pymcuprog as described here. @vas was able to flash using avrdude as seen here.
Hey I’m from Germany (close to Augsburg). I flashed the Current Shunt a few month ago, aslo had some issues, but finaly succeed with the arduino UNO.
- were you able to lode the jtag2updi tot he arduiono?
- do you entered the right path of the files for the programming?
- Important to use the capacitor at the Arduino, that it dont switch to programming mode on restart.
- I dont used the mentioned resistor, it works great without.
In case of questions, feel free to ask.

Mike, a few posts down from the one you pointed is the full process, maybe OP wants to have a look there. A few details can be wrong and make things fail:
I can help out - from Austria…
Cheers…
Many thanks for your contributions.
I had tried it with a modified Arduino NANO exactly as described in the instructions but I just didn’t want to succeed.
Since I cannot rule out that the error is sitting directly in front of the PC, I wanted to “outsource” the job.
A friendly user from another community is now programming the chip for me.
would you assist in flashing the 4.5 Version ? im from vienna…
Yes, certainly!
