There was a small amount of discussion about the colour scheme back when I started. I tried going dark but things didn’t feel great. iOS is certainly more standard with a light colour theme. But there are plenty of apps that deter from that too. The only issue with diverging from the standard is a lot more effort has to go into crafting things to look and feel good. That last point is largely why I’ve stuck with light theme. Because then I don’t have to spend time working on graphics which I’m not good at!
