Here’s another reason not to use Platfromio
Yeah, I like the VSCode editor though!
I have delved deeply into the mDNS thing, and I suspect it’s a problem with the underlying lwip libs, so could be true for Arduino also.
The PlatformIO guys also don’t support the latest Arduino libs for some reason, which use a more recent ESP-IDF (for ESP32 people!) version. I’m considering just switching to ESP-IDF, and cutting out the middlemen, except ESP-IDF is like driving a car at the quantum level, rather than using a steering wheel.
Bottom line is if I’m stealing PlatformIO-based code, I use that, if Arduino, I use that!
Thank you so much, It’s true I hadn’t read the guide. And I just did all day. I downloaded and set up the libraries, I had success with the arduino ide, but the port was playing hide and seek, yet its something I had taken time without minding about. so, I invested more energy in setting up Platformio in Vscode and now I’m happily getting results. I have managed to get the voltage right, Tomorrow I will fight with the Currents. Then The esp32 board.
