Did you find the issue with flow not updating ? On my gen. 7 Samsung HP seems the flow is updated frequently upon every change so probably a bug in a firmware ?
Modbus power meter is on the way from AliExpress so hope I will be able to calculate COP pretty precisely. Seems that flow temperatures and return temperatures are pretty reliable so my hopes are high. Guess I need to install emonHUB and emonCMS into a docker because home assistant is pretty bad with heat pumps monitoring. I don’t understand why someone experienced did not create a good heatpump addon.
I think you can only set the flow temperature when it’s in fixed flow temperature mode.
No, the flow rate has always returned correctly via modbus.
I found the onboard Samsung flow and return temperature sensors are quite inaccurate, if you do a mass flow rate calculation to calculate heat delivered it could be significantly inaccurate because of the inaccurate onboard sensors. My Samsung is 20% out. Heat meters use matched pairs of temperature sensors in wet pockets, which have maximum 2% error.
Thanks, do you know how I can enable fixed flow temperature mode ? Can I still have thermostat connected ?
Flow rate - yes I know it returns correct value, but you’ve said it updated very slowly so COP calculation could not be calculated properly. On my pump it updates in real time som maybe numbers will be better ?
