I am a technical support engineer fro the Welsh Ambulance service.
As it happens I stumbled on this forum at it’s infancy, as Covid began. I too was getting into Pi and Ardunio just to make use of a new 3D printer, time at home, my kids and a robotic Wall-E project…
I had not realized that it had developed like this until I spoke with a Solar Installer last night in an unrelated purchase of an Enphase Micro inverter and he mentioned this community when I asked if he had an affordable Hybrid Inverter to sell for my Pylontech batteries etc.
I have become interested in Lithium 13650s and now DIY solar work, and have acquired LifePO4 kit - Plylontech batteries, but I’ve hit a brick wall because; seemingly, there is no cost effective way to manage Lifepo4 in this country (or Europe) except to buy an expensive compliant Solar Inverter/Charger in addition to the very expensive Lifepo4 batteries. Or to take a gamble on an expensive Asian pre-built BMS which do not appear to match my exact needs?
I’m hoping that I may be able to use a solution from here to allow me to make use of the otherwise useless batteries…
