Wired connection between EmonPi and EVSE for PV diversion

Hi. I have a ethernet connected EmonPi monitoring solar generation and house usage. I found the WiFi link to EmonPi that I originally tried to be unreliable. Is it possible to take another wired ethernet connection from the EmonPi to either of your EVSE units to impelement PV diversion charging. Which EVSE unit would you recommend and what do I need to buy from the OEM shop? I have a spare Netgear 8 port switch I can use if needed. Thanks, Cyril
