When I used SSH to start Node Red "node-red-pi --max-old-space-size=128" I get a syntax error: unexpected token *

I am new to the emonPi world and I could use some assistance getting Nodered to work. I will not start using this command that I found on another forum: “node-red-pi --max-old-space-size=128”. It says unexpected token *. Can someone help me with this. I have updated Nodered, the IP libraries etc. It just won’t start. Here is the link to the guide I am using.

Thanks.

When you updated node-red, what did you update? (or what command did you run?)

Node-Red should be automatically running when you boot up the emonPi.

There are a few posts on the Node-RED Google Group about an issue related to –max-old-space-size=128. But I am not sure if this is the issue you are seeing.

Hello Jon.

I appreciate your response. I have since learned a ton more about updating the emonpi and no longer have issues with Node-red. I am now moving onto improved, continuous monitoring with the emonpi. Thank you.

Dalton.
