Retrofitting an EVBox BusinessLine (2018) G3 to a new controller or platform

Hi everyone,

I have an EVBox BusinessLine 22 kW (2018 model, article B3162-0120, serial B18331159).

The station still works electrically but for now anyone can plug in and charge freely. EVBox doesn’t support this model anymore and does not provide a cloud for it.

I would like to make it “smart” again — ideally by either:

  • migrating it to a new backend

  • retrofitting it with a universal controller

Questions:

  • Has anyone here successfully migrated an EVBox G3 to a new platform ?

  • Or used another controller to retrofit the EVBox BusinessLine housing?

  • Are there any wiring diagrams or component compatibility notes you can share?

Any practical tips, photos, or documentation links would be really appreciated!

Does the EVBox G3 support OCPP, and if so can you change which OCPP server it uses? There are a couple of OCPP servers on GitHub. You may be able to run one locally and restore some functionality to the EVBox.
