How are you guys powering the ESP8266 controller?
Are you using a DC-DC off the battery?
Are you just plugging an AC usb adapter?
How much current does the controller use? Does it deep sleep to save power?

I’m using a dc-dc converter. As using power from my battery is more cost effective than from the mains I didn’t even bother factoring in how much power it draws…
