Running a post-processing job (“Allow negative”) results in a persistent Queued state in the UI.
-
service-runner.serviceinitially threw[Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/log/emoncms/postprocess.log'. -
/opt/emoncms/modules/postprocess/postprocess.shwas missing, so we created/opt/emoncms/modules/postprocess/and synced the module contents from/var/www/emoncms/Modules/postprocess/. -
Log file permissions were set to
777, stale locks in Redis (emoncms:postprocess:lock) were cleared, andservice-runnerwas restarted. -
Running
sudo php /var/www/emoncms/Modules/postprocess/postprocess_run.phpreturns no output, and settingUPDATE postprocess SET status=0;in MySQL resets the DB row, but triggering Run from the UI immediately drops it back into a stuck Queued state without executing the script payload.
Welcome, Frank, to the OEM forum.
Did you type your post off-line, and then paste it onto this page to post it? If you did, this is why it failed to appear straight away – we have a series of anti-spam checks, one of which is to trap material that is copied and pasted, as this is typical spammer behaviour. It’s quite safe to part-type your post here, even switch your phone/computer off, and it will be waiting when you come back.
Sadly, I can’t help with a deep emonCMS problem like you describe, I think this will need @TrystanLea’s attention.
Hello @SnowMonkey
I would start from scratch. It sounds like you have the install the wrong way around.
cd /var/www/emoncms/Modules
rm -rf postprocess
cd /opt/emoncms/modules
rm postprocess
git clone [email protected]:emoncms/postprocess.git
ln -s /opt/emoncms/modules/postprocess/postprocess-module/ /ar/www/emoncms/Modules/postprocess
Thanks Trystan for your advice. Can I correspond with you direct, as follows, or do I have to go through the forum?
These are the responses I get when I feed that code into Terminal:
pi@emonpi:/var/www/emoncms $ cd /var/www/emoncms/Modules
rm -rf postprocess
pi@emonpi:/var/www/emoncms/Modules $ cd /opt/emoncms/modules
rm postprocess
rm: cannot remove ‘postprocess’: Is a directory
pi@emonpi:/opt/emoncms/modules $ git clone [email protected]:emoncms/postprocess.git
ln -s /opt/emoncms/modules/postprocess/postprocess-module/ /ar/www/emoncms/Modules/postprocess
fatal: destination path ‘postprocess’ already exists and is not an empty directory.
ln: failed to create symbolic link ‘/ar/www/emoncms/Modules/postprocess’: No such file or directory
pi@emonpi:/opt/emoncms/modules $
Kindest regards,
Frank
maybe try:
cd /opt/emoncms/modules
rm -rf /opt/emoncms/modules/postprocess
then continue with the git clone
