Hi,

Is there a way to configure or otherwise give access to someone to view an app or dashbaord and export csv data but not to enable them to have access to the setting and configuration options?

Yes using the read-only api-key! (Or by setting the dashboards to public).

It’s not ideal, but emoncms doesn’t have different user roles. I tend to give out a link including the read-only apikey to a specific “landing” dashboard page and link the other dashboards from that dashboard (again with the read-only api-key in the link) see this post on the “Dashboard menu does not scroll … not all dashboards accessible from it” thread for an example.
