I’ve added the option to upload a custom firmware .hex file in the local emoncms firmware upload tool.
This is available from Admin > Update > Update Firmware only:

Select the port and hardware that is connected. Once a specific hardware target is selected this will show the custom upload option.

Click on Browse to select the custom firmware hex file that you wish to upload. Click ‘Open’ when the file has been selected - this will automatically start the upload process.
This involved changes to both EmonScripts (v2.3.11) and emoncms core (v11.5.6). To access this new feature, please update to the latest version of these components (available in both master and stable branches).
