Is it possible to restore a feed?

Hi everyone, I accidentally deleted node:emonpi:power1. Is it possible to reverse it? now I only have access to node:emonpi:power2

I’m afraid not, deleting a feed is permanent. Could you restore from a backup?

Thanks for the quick reply @TrystanLea ! My EmonPi image is quite old, from 2016 (emonSD-03May16). I tried clicking on Update Now for attempting a restoration but got this (attached img):

- emonSD version: emonSD-03May16
ERROR: emonSD base image old or undefined...update will not continue

I don’t mind making a factory reset of the device, or installing a new version that is compatible. Which steps would you suggest? Is it possible to install it from the flash drive?

Hello @wittmannf I would recommend updating by downloading the latest emonSD image and writing it to a fresh SD card emonSD Download — OpenEnergyMonitor 0.0.1 documentation If you are happy to start with a fresh installation that’s probably your best bet.

Once you have the new image up and running. There’s one last step to do to make it work on the emonPi version that you have and that is to change the EmonHub configuration file. You can do this by logging in to the local emoncms running on the Pi, Navigate to Setup > EmonHub > Edit config and replace the configuration there with either the configuration here:

or if you have a copy of your current configuration if it is modified you could always use that one.
