You mean the emonCMS sub-section of Docs?
It’s supposed to exist somewhere on Github, I know not where, because it doesn’t appear to be where it claims to be (unless it’s protected and hidden); and I’m almost certain it will not be in PDF format, most likely in Markdown format.
Your best course is to ask @TrystanLea
Sorry, we don’t have a pdf guide.
The guide is available online on the docs here: https://docs.openenergymonitor.org/emoncms/index.html
Hi and thanks.
I am experimenting with google NotebookLM which is a AI notebook that you can add reference material to and then interrogate your sources! I have only had it a day and it looks like it is going to be very useful for getting the best out of my heat pump. I’ve added the manuals and other useful sources of info and I thought it might be useful to add the emoncms instructions as well but i cant just add a website unfortunately!
Cheers
Mike
I sent you a PM.
Hello @mpooley looks like it is possible to use a website address?
It also says it accepts Markdown files.
Sphinx supports rendering to PDF with LaTeX installed.
I’ve got a rough and ready render process working, I’ll polish it a bit this evening if I have some time ![]()
Hi @mpooley - here’s the full OEM documentation rendered as a PDF. Hopefully this will be helpful for you. I haven’t put too much effort into it beyond getting it to run so caveat emptor! In particular, some of the images (webp and SVG, looking at the logs) will be missing, but I don’t think that will be an issue for your use case. Let me know if you have any problems downloading it.
I downloaded it OK (all 430 pages) and it seems to have done a pretty good job generally, but it’s got a bit confused from time to time. I noticed many illustrations were very small (as early as page 2 - and the headings here have been buried in the text), quite a few unnecessary blank pages, and two tables of c.t. measurements (pp 204 - 206 & 207) had absolutely no formatting at all, so this is all but useless. But it would be absolutely impossible for anyone to even tidy up 430 pages in less than a few weeks.
