Air in the system leading to erratic flow readings (and subsequent poor heat meter output into emoncms) is the most common of problems.

You’ve gotta get that air out of the system.

> Sounds like Octopus have tried quite hard and Im sure at a fair expense to improve the system. Im not sure what those noises are thought, they sound quite loud? or do you have a very sensitive microphone? Air rushing around the system is usually more of a continuous swooshing noise that can go in waves, at least from my own experience. It took me a while to get rid of the air that would sit in my hot water cylinder coil. It can unfortunately be quite hard on some systems to get rid of all the…

> That’s another win for OEM, for sure. Without this data we’d have [almost] no idea that there was still air trapped in the system. We might think to bleed the radiators once in a while [especially approaching/during heating season] but wouldn’t have an indication like this that the system was not fully vented.

> I’m running the Kamstrup Multical 403 on my setup 7kW aroTHERM+ (Rushden, Northamptonshire on Heat Monitoring Dashboard), installed early July 2023. I too have issues with DHW reporting which we are looking into. It shows the same erratic recording of flow temperatures. Photo of setup:
