By far the _ **best** _ way (in my opinion) is to change the SSID and password of your new router to be the same as the old. This way, you don’t have to change SSID & password in everything that uses your Wi-Fi LAN, emonPi included.

If you can’t do this, or you’ve already changed everything else, I think you have two options:

1. Connect to your router via Ethernet and use Setup → Network and choose your network, then type in the password, or
2. Take the SD card out and edit the wpa\_supplicant file - see [Setup WiFi on a Pi Manually using wpa\_supplicant.conf - Raspberry Pi Spy](https://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2017/04/manually-setting-up-pi-wifi-using-wpa_supplicant-conf/)

(If you need to move the emonPi, remember to go through the shutdown routine using the button on the front.)

Thank you for your reply I was able to connect by ethernet and log straight in to change my password but next time I will take your advice and keep the router name and password the same.
