How To Change from Beta to Stable Version

Hello,

I’m currently on: low-write 10.1.4-beta. I would like to upgrade to the latest Stable version but am not sure how to switch from Beta to Stable. It was explained to me in the past (that’s how I got to Beta) but I’ve forgotten how.

Thanks,

Neil

I’m not at home to check but I think…

cd /var/www/emoncms
git checkout stable

In the Admin page the ‘beta’ should be gone so just run an update from the Admin page.

Check the update log for any errors.

Thanks Brian, exactly what I needed. I’ll update this weekend.

Hello @Brian,

I performed the update yesterday. It seemed to work (for the most part). I get this error message before logging in to emoncms and when the webpage updates. I have to press ‘Close’ several times before I can log in.

Any ideas?

Have you cleared the browser cache?

@Borpin,

I have an instance of EmonCMS embedded in Node-RED. Also, in Node-RED, I had an unused embedded multigraph in a Template node. For some reason this is what caused the error. I deleted the node and the error cleared. When I opened EmonCMS in the web browser (without node-RED) the error did not occur.

I did not find the root cause but it was probably a missing graph or a change in the embedded code.

Bottom line is the upgrade worked :grinning:

Thanks, have a great weekend.
