Help with Emoncms after a power cut

I had a power cut this mroning when the power came on line I couldn’t connect to the data base. I can ssh to the pi I have set up. The database gave a connection refused error check settings.php. I checked the logs nothing, the dis space looks ok. I reset the paswords in settings.php. I got a blank screen. I edite the default settings file. For some reason localhost doesn’t work I am using 127.0.0.1. I reset the username and password but I am now getting this error.

Can’t connect to database, please verify credentials/configuration in settings.php
Error message: Access denied for user ‘emonpi’@‘localhost’ (using password: YES)

Any ideas?

Panic over. I used the wrong default settings file should have used the emonpi default. Had to reboot the pi to get the feed writer working again. Any ideas how to make the system more resilient to a power cut?
