I was delighted to host @glyn.hudson and @TrystanLea on my Energy Unwrapped Podcast.
We talked about the early days of OEM, how they met, early hardware, the infulence of @johncantor and the foundation of heat pump monitor by @Timbones
Even @Gwil gets a mention!!

It was great to chat to you Mick, thanks for having us on
This was the first version of the emonTx V1 PCB that we hand etched in 2011!
Very soon after we moved to a pre-made emonTx V2 PCB, but still using through-hole soldered components, there’s still a few of these V2s still running today.
Thanks to everyone who’s played a part in this journey, it’s really been a community effort
In the episode, we also mention recent hardware developments from @awjlogan , who’s raised the hardware to the next level! Here’s the current emonPi3
We also have exciting hardware developments from @awjlogan for the emonTH and emonHP in the works
I used one only a few days ago to test the software modifications to the RFM69Pi for it to work with the LowPowerLabs radio protocol.
(As far a I know, Mick and I aren’t related.)

Someone buy them a microphone!
Having done sound for a living (in the dim and distant past), I concur.
It’s very disappointing that the sound is so poor. We have got a good standalone desktop mic, but we didn’t realise the gain was turned down too low. Lesson learned. Very sorry, it’s a painful listen
