Error in documentation for update after first boot

Hi there,

I just booted a new Pi4 from the emonSD Oct 19 image, but could not tell if the first boot update had run. The Pi4 was not connected to a monitor so I didn’t see what happened during the boot, but I could SSH to it, and according to emonSD pre built SD card Download & Change Log · openenergymonitor/emonpi Wiki · GitHub it will have created the file ~/data/emonpiupdate.log

However, the file did not exist, so I assumed the update had not run, and struggled to understand why not. Eventually I found the script that runs the update at first boot (/opt/openenergymonitor/EmonScripts/update/firstbootupdate), which showed the location checked is actually /var/log/emoncms/emonpiupdate.log

Could you update the guidance on the above mentioned wiki page please?

Ian

Thanks @borpin

The easiest place to look at the update log which is consistent for all emonSD versions is the admin page once logged into Emoncms.

Good to hear latest emonSD works well on the Pi4.
