Emonpi raspberry pi update

Hi all,
I’ve just got an emonpi and am slowly integrating it into my home system. I have installed webmin as I am used to using it to check on my home network and it shows the raspberry pi in need of updates (some 90 or so), I ran the emonpi full update but this appears to just deal with emon software. So my question is should I update my pi either wia webmin or via ssh or should I leave well alone
cheers
Andy

Hello Andy, you can do that if you want, there’s always the chance that it might break things if a dependency changes. We do try and provide at least an annual full image update that provide a full update of the OS here: emonSD pre built SD card Download & Change Log · openenergymonitor/emonpi Wiki · GitHub Existing data can be transfered across relatively easy using a second SD card and a USB card reader see the guide here: Import / Backup - Guide | OpenEnergyMonitor

Hi Trystan,
thanks for the reply, I shall tread carefully and if I encounter any issues report back.
Cheers.
Andy
