We recently installed underfloor heating in our new garden room. I don’t have glycol in our ecodan system so have the freeze stat function enabled.
The issue I have is that as currently wired the main circulating pump runs if temp is below 4 deg ( which is fine) but underfloor heating manifold pump also runs , this is not a problem if the heat pump is heating the water , but if just pumping on the freeze stat it is sucking all of the heat out of the slab , which then has to be pumped back in again.
Question
Is there an output on the FTC controller that will run the UFH pump only when heating but not when freeze stat function is operating?
