Ebus adapter C6 stick won't join wifi (but now does)

I suspect my newly-arrived ebus adapter is faulty but I’m hoping someone can assist me in trouble-shooting it. It just won’t connect to wifi. Using Chrome to access the device via USB and web serial support, I flash the firmware, reconnect, open Connect to Network, select my SSID, type the password… and it just times out. I’ve tried using a couple of different hotspots as well as my home wifi… always the same result.

I had a look at the REPL console and see the sta command which looks like it should let me configure the wifi connection, but can’t work out how to use it.

I don’t seem to be able to connect to the stick when it’s in AP mode, although I’m not sure what IP address I’m supposed to visit after connecting to the EBUS network. I’ve tried 192.168.4.1 and a few others.

OK, I was able to sort this out. I had to turn off mobile data on my phone and then connecting to 192.168.4.1 took me to the config website hosted by the stick. I set up the “wifi station” including selecting the wifi channel, pressed the save icon, and then connected the stick to a standard USB power supply and it’s appeared on my wifi network. Phew!
