Disable Samsung Gen 7 HW Schedule when not needed?

Does anyone know if it is possible to disable a Samsung Gen 7 HW Schedule when not needed without deleting it with some sort of simple command or direct signal?

Our DHW is heated by dedicated PV and after an evening shower the water is easily heated enough the next day so the overnight DHW heating session from the HP is not needed.

I’d rather not resorting to an external programs to do this.

I think you have a WRC, @JPB, so setting FSV #3011 to 0 might achieve what you want. (You can easily reset it to 1 or 2 when PV no longer provides the necessary, some time around the Autumn equinox, I expect.)

Thanks Sarah…looked it up you’re so right as ever…I was trying to avoid diving into FSV as we need to disable based on the on the amount of sunshine received during the day…not much before shower etc then DHW cycle…my ancient previous HP had NVC which was very convenient for this

…in which case there’s an even easier alternative. Just set your WRC DHW schedule settings to “off” (without deleting them), and if there isn’t enough PV on any given day, hit the WRC “on” button when on the DHW page (remembering to hit “off” later, when the HP has done its job).

Yes that’s even easier…forgot about that…downside is remembering etc…was hoping to be able to toggle something with a suitable 7 day timer

What is your control strategy for this? If you were to only enable HP heating of DHW if PV had failed to do so (e.g. low DHW tank temperature) then you would be prioritising PV heating over HP heating and could do this on a 7-day schedule just by judicious setting of the effective hysteresis via FSV#3021/2/3. The diagram on p137 of the Installer Reference Guide is rather more helpful than the User Manual, I find…
