Connect emonTx to 3rd party server (Ubuntu)

I would like to send the data directly to my server so that I can then add to my own dashboard. Is this possible just using the emonTx?

Welcome

Short answer, no. The EmonTX communicates to the outside world either via the Serial port, or via RFM.

You have 3 options for connecting to an EmonTX

  1. EmonTX → RFM → EmonBase (Emoncms on EmonBase)
  2. EmonTX → EmonESP → WiFi → Emoncms (or emoncms.org)
  3. EmonTX → Serial/wired → RPi (Emoncms on RPi)

In all cases, you can send the data to a different local server.
