Sorry for a stupid question, but here it goes. How do I download my backup tar.gz link it keeps opening in browser window. and all right click option don’t work either .

So you don’t get this:
If you’re not, then I think you must have an automatic handler for .gz files so that your browser tries to open them instead of downloading them?
I also have the “Save Link as” option - which does the same thing, but allows me a choice of where to save the file:
