Hello!

Up until yesterday we had the new 2026 Vaillant Arotherm in the database as V2, which was quite useful as this type differs from the older model. But since today it seems to have vanished from the database. Any idea where it went?

Greetings,
Thijs

I’ve been debating if a V2 model differentiation in HPM is required. Vaillant have not mentioned anything about performance changes between the two modes. Most installers I spoke to have assumed they were identical.

However, today I’ve managed to get hold of the V2 datasheets (they are sill not published on their website). I’ve created another thread to compare the diferances which are minimal, but present: [Vaillant Arothem+ V1 vs V2](https://community.openenergymonitor.org/t/vaillant-arothem-v1-vs-v2/30294/1)

I’m still unsure if a V2 model differentiation in HPM is required? Another is that most installers are not differentiating when telling us what unit they have installed, thefore we don’t know if it’s a V1 or V2

Thank you for your insight! I think one of the changes is the modulation minimum, something very valuable the heatpumpmonitor provides real world insight into. In that overview it would be worthwhile to know what the specific unit is. You could also switch to the official typenumbers, which are mostly included on the invoices and type label.

/6 for the old

/8.1 for the new

What do you mean by the type numbers?

These are the official names for these units

Previous generation A2W:

- aroTHERM+ VWL 35/6 (3kw model)
- aroTHERM+ VWL 55/6 (5kw model)
- aroTHERM+ VWL 75/6 (7kw model)
- Etc etc

And the new generation 2026

- aroTHERM+ VWL 35/8.1
- aroTHERM+ VWL 55/8.1
- aroTHERM+ VWL 75/8.1
- Etc etc

That should be doable to recognize also for the end user.

I’ve added the Arotherm+ V2 to the HPM database: [https://heatpumpmonitor.org/heatpump?filter=arotherm%2B+V2](https://heatpumpmonitor.org/heatpump?filter=arotherm%2B+V2) 👍

Thank you!!

One other request regarding the + sign in the name. The filter does not seem to handle the URL encoding correctly, so on page reload the filter stops working. Any chance you could look into that?

I can’t see to replicate this issue, the page reloads fine with the a + in the filter

Here is the steps to reproduce:

Open main list:

> **[HeatpumpMonitor.org - Heat Pump Performance Data](https://heatpumpmonitor.org/system/list?period=all&minDays=0)**
>
> An open-source initiative to share and compare heat pump performance data. Join our community of heat pump owners sharing real-world performance data.

- On the left open filters, add a filter on column Heatpump make and model
- Contains Vaillant Arotherm+ V2
- Press the green checkbox to apply the filter
- This part works fine
- In the list click on the Summary view of one of the systems (blue button)
- Click on the browser back button to go back to the list
- Now the + is removed from the filter, so it matches no systems anymore
