Air to air minisplit - reducing cycling at low loads

Realised I dont have permission to message you privately, I think I was curious about the following:

  1. The unit is super quiet when running, but turning on/off is quite noisy due to the louvres moving, does that match yours? I tried talking to MHI support but they didnt really say anything except it was installed too close to a wall and that probably leads to excess noise… :face_with_monocle:
  2. Where exactly did you move the temperature sensor to? I assume you just unclipped the wire and pulled it through? (the black wire I can see on the edge of the AC unit) Im not totally sure why it would improve performance tbh, since I find it is normally overshooting target and being close to the heat emitter would result in it undershooting…
  3. I think you have a matched external unit? (E.g. 2kW internal and 2kW external?) Based on your other thread there is some possibility it is cycling? Perhaps there is some logic that says if it needs to cycle it adds X degrees onto target to ensure it never drops below target due to cycle time. That certainly feels possible to me…
