To be even later in the day, I use some Shelly devices to both monitor and switch (if needed) devices and read them into emonpi using MQQT or an http call over wifi (I’m very inconsistent!). Shelly 1PM Mini Gen3 | Shelly Store UK | Smart Home Automation I just then code for a digital state depending on what it’s reading.
I also hae one device (monitoring the position of my heating 3-port valve) that just uses a solid state relay to volt free contacts (something like this https://cpc.farnell.com/schrack-te-connectivity/rt114730/relay-pcb-spco-230vac/dp/SW03366?) and connects to a NodeMCU 8226 WiFi board that just sends the data directly to emoncms.org.
