We are conducting a university research validation study comparing UK heat-pump engineering sizing and energy models under identical case, weather, product, meter and service boundaries.
We request an outcome-unseen property-cluster cohort using a two-phase blinded release.
Phase 1, before predictions are frozen:
- anonymous stable property IDs and monitoring periods;
- room geometry, fabric, infiltration/airtightness and adjacency inputs;
- actual product identity and capacity/COP/Qmin/control data;
- aligned actual weather;
- exact H1-H4 electricity/heat meter and service-boundary definitions.
Phase 2, only after we provide hashes proving registry, adapter, champion and prediction freeze:
- interval electricity and delivered heat;
- flow/return temperatures, runtime, cycling and defrost;
- DHW, backup and comfort/service observations;
- meter and derived-endpoint uncertainty.
One property must remain one independent cluster. We will not create synthetic properties, duplicate periods, infer missing service variables or compare primary metrics across datasets. Previously outcome-inspected systems are excluded from the new confirmatory cohort. The present public API is useful, but the primary gate needs complete same-property inputs and service boundaries.
Could the HeatpumpMonitor/OpenEnergyMonitor team advise whether such a blinded research packet can be provided, under what licence, and whether owners of eligible unused systems can be approached? Methods and aggregate findings will be shared publicly and HeatpumpMonitor/OpenEnergyMonitor will be acknowledged.
