i have Vaillant 7kw heat pump installed, everything looks good and working condition . only issue i have is around 3 port motorise diverter valve (Honeywell 272889).
according to installation diagram it need to be install as. AB connecting to heat source -A connecting to central heating and B connecting to hot water (cylinder
)…installed it as that . but it does opposite function.
on vaillant diagram suggest opposite connection . B connecting to central heating and A connecting to DHW.
if changing around is longer process . can i just change polarity of diverter valve or head of diverter valve to correct this? any1 tried this option
I don’t know this valve, nor Vaillant heat pumps, but I spent most of my working life as an applications/control engineer, working mainly with drives and controls.
The fundamental question you need to answer is, does the whole system work the way it is intended – does the heat pump warm the water when you want hot water, and does it heat the house when you want the house warm? If it does that, then I suggest leaving things as they are, because it may well be that the valve is orientated as it is to cure another problem you know nothing about.
A secondary question that I would address is, which position should it fail towards (assuming it is motor-riven one way with a spring return)? As the likelihood of expensive damage should a wire fall off or the electricity supply fail is minimal, this might not be a concern.
